Diversity

At SCA, we aim to advance equal opportunities to diversify and develop our workforce and recognise the value of attracting and retaining employees with different backgrounds, experience, knowledge, thinking and abilities and where everyone can give their best. We ensure diversity contributes to our business success and benefits individuals, teams, clients and the community.

Our recruitment process will reflect best practice and be open with a view to attract a diverse pool of talent, transparent and free from conflict of interest.

All applicants will be treated with respect throughout the recruitment process and provided with sufficient information to make an informed choice of their suitability for the role. Your application will be treated with the strictest confidence.

Application

Our application process will take less than 2 minutes to complete and we only collect very basic personal information (we know you are far too busy to fill in clunky and lengthy application forms).

Please ensure you submit a CV and cover letter tailored to the role highlighting your relevant experience and why you would be perfect for the role you are applying for. For some content and on-air roles, you will be asked to also attach a portfolio of your work as part of the application process.

You will receive an automated response advising that we have successfully received your application.

Short listing

Once your online application has been submitted, the Hiring Manager will assess your application against the requirements of the role.  Depending on the role and the size of the candidate pool, this stage may include an initial phone interview.

Interviews

We really want to get to know the real you.

The interview process will be consistent across all applicants, to ensure proper comparisons are made and ultimately that the most suitable applicant is sourced.

Our interviews are a mix of behavioural and technical based questions and we want to run through your career history in more detail. Our interview process is a two-way street and you are also interviewing us as much as we are interviewing you so don’t forget to come armed with questions about the role, team and anything else you would like to know about us. The number of interviews varies depending on the type of role you have applied for.

Please aim to turn up 5-10 minutes early and dress appropriately for your interview.

Additional Assessments

You may be requested to complete some online assessments. This will vary dependent on the positon you have applied for but can involve cognitive/numerical ability, behavioural profiling or emotional intelligence. You will complete the testing remotely so it is a good idea to find a nice quiet place where you can concentrate and always answer honestly and truthfully.

You will be notified if you are required to undertake any assessments early in the recruitment process.

Reference checks

If you are successful through the interview process, we undertake a thorough background check process to validate your past experience and clarify any further information around your application. We will require the details of 2 managers or supervisors that you currently or have previously reported in to. These should be professional referees and not friends, colleagues or associates. Please ensure that you have notified your referees that we will be contacting them.

Offer of employment

Great news – we want you to join us – the Hiring Manager will call you to verbally offer you the role. Your contract will be submitted for approval internally and issued electronically to your personal email address used in submitting your original application. You will also receive other employment documents including your job description and any commission/bonus components if required. You will be able to log in and accept your offer electronically once you have reviewed the details.

You will also gain access to our on-boarding portal allowing you to fill in all of your other employment documents and learn more about us so you are ready to hit the ground running on your first day!

What if I didn’t get the role?

The Hiring Manager will contact you to advise that you have not been successful and provide constructive feedback. If suitable, we will add you to our talent bank for future vacancies. We also encourage you to register for job alerts on our careers site which will notify you of other suitable vacancies as they arise. Make sure you follow us on LinkedIn too for all of our exciting company updates.
